I am a professional writer and editor with experience creating and editing a wide variety of documents. I can proofread your work for grammar, spelling and structure, and if you wish, provide suggestions for improvement of style or argument.

I have more than fifteen years' experience writing, editing and proofreading, in private, public and not-for-profit sectors. I have a Masters Degree and am familiar with academic writing. I have worked with the Canadian Press style guide,  the Canadian Style (federal government), and APA formatting.

The Process

For editing services: Email me your document (for large documents, a sample chapter or section). I will reply with a quote for the work and a schedule for completion. I require payment up front and accept Interac e-transfer or PayPal. Once payment is received, I will edit your document using MS Word Review, and return it to you via email by the agreed deadline. For large documents, I will be available for a telephone consultation (up to one hour) to answer questions about the changes I have suggested.

For writing services: Email me with your request, providing as much detail as possible. I will reply with a quote and schedule for delivery.


Please contact me with your document details and I will provide a quote for the work you require. I bill by the hour, with a basic rate starting at $50/hour and a minimum charge of 2 hours ($100). I will provide a more accurate quote based on your needs: the type of document, the length of the document  (volume discount for longer documents or group of documents), and the kind of editing you are looking for (basic proofread or more detailed editing) and how quickly you need the document returned.
